TV channels from Thailand
Watch Thai TV online to practice your listening skills. Thailand switched off analog TV on 26 March 2020 and now has 21 free-to-air digital terrestrial channels (7 government/public + 14 commercial), covering news, dramas, variety shows, and educational content.
Most channels stream live on YouTube for free — no VPN or subscription needed. Click any channel name to watch it online (most link to YouTube). You can also use the social media icons to visit their official pages. For beginners, entertainment channels like Channel 3, ONE 31, and Workpoint TV are easier to follow. News channels such as TNN16 and Nation TV suit intermediate and advanced learners.

Tips for Learning Thai with TV
- Start with short 5–10 minute segments rather than full episodes
- Watch with Thai subtitles when available — Thai PBS often provides them
- Use the pause-and-rewind technique for dense news segments
- Keep the RianThai dictionary open to look up new words as you hear them
- Try variety shows and game shows first — the visual context helps you follow along
- Practice recognizing Thai numbers during news broadcasts and ads
