Thai Virtual Keyboard
Type Thai characters directly in your browser — no software to install, no keyboard layout changes needed. Click the keys on screen, or type on your physical keyboard and watch the corresponding Thai keys highlight in gold.
Works on Windows, Mac, Linux, and Chromebook.
Using the keyboard to learn Thai
- Practice the layout. Thai keyboards follow the Kedmanee layout standard. Type common letters like ก (k), า (a), น (n) to build familiarity with key positions.
- Watch for the gold highlight. When you type on your physical keyboard, the virtual keys light up — useful for building muscle memory while seeing which Thai character each key produces.
- Use Shift for additional characters. Several Thai vowels and tone marks are on the shifted layer. Press Shift to see the full set.
- New to Thai script? Start with the Thai alphabet to learn the 44 consonants, or look up any word in the Thai dictionary.
