ชื่อฉันท์วรรณพฤติ กำหนดด้วย ๔ คณะสลับกัน คือ ส คณะ ย คณะ ส คณะ ย คณะ (ตามแบบว่า กมลาติ เณยฺยา สยเสหิ โย เจ) ตัวอย่างว่า จะวิสัชนาสาร พิสดารก็หลายเลบง เรียกว่า กมลฉันท์ หรือ กมลาฉันท์.
Name of a type of Thai poetic meter (chan verse), consisting of four alternating groups: S group, Y group, S group, Y group (following the pattern 'kamalāti neyyā sayasehi yo ce'), e.g., 'to explain the matter in detail, called Kamon Chan or Kamala Chan.'
