ชื่อปลาทะเลหลายชนิดในสกุล Terapon และ Pelates วงศ์ Teraponidae มีเส้นดำข้างลำตัวข้างละ ๔-๖ เส้น แล้วแต่ชนิด อาศัยอยู่ตามชายฝั่งทะเลและบริเวณน้ำกร่อย ขนาดยาวได้ถึง ๓๓ เซนติเมตร เช่น ชนิด T. jarbua (Forsskål), P. quadrilineatus (Bleeker), ออดแอด หรือ ครืดคราด ก็เรียก.
(n.) Name for several species of marine fish in the genera Terapon and Pelates, family Teraponidae, characterized by 4–6 black stripes along each side of the body, depending on the species. They inhabit coastal and brackish waters and can reach up to 33 centimeters in length. Examples include T. jarbua (Forsskål), P. quadrilineatus (Bleeker). Also called 'odd-aet' or 'krueat-krad'.
