หฺนวดพฺราม

ชื่อต้นไม้ชนิดหนึ่งคล้ายต้นจามจุรี แต่ไม่มีกลิ่นหอม.

(n.) A tree resembling the rain tree (จามจุรี, Samanea saman) but without fragrance.

ชื่อกล้วยไม้ชนิด Seidenfadenia mitrata (Rchb. f.) Garay ในวงศ์ Orchidaceae ดอกสีม่วงแดง กลิ่นหอม, เอื้องหนวดพราหมณ์ ก็เรียก.

หฺนวดพฺราม

ชื่อปลานํ้าจืดหรือน้ำกร่อยในสกุล Polynemus วงศ์ Polynemidae ลำตัวยาว แบนข้าง หัวแหลม ปากอยู่ตํ่ามาก ตาเล็ก เกล็ดเล็กเป็นแบบเกล็ดหนาม ครีบหลังมี ๒ ตอน ครีบหางใหญ่เป็นแฉกเรียวแหลมตอนปลาย ที่สำคัญก้านครีบส่วนล่างของครีบอกแยกกันและยื่นเป็นเส้นคล้ายหนวดหลายเส้นยาวเลยครีบหาง ลำตัวด้านหลังสีเทาหรือเขียวหม่น ส่วนท้องและครีบสีเหลืองหรือส้มคลํ้า.

A freshwater or brackish-water fish of the genus Polynemus, family Polynemidae; body elongated and laterally compressed; head pointed; mouth positioned very low; eyes small; scales small and ctenoid; dorsal fin in two sections; tail fin large and deeply forked with tapering pointed lobes; the lower pectoral-fin rays are free from the fin membrane and extend as multiple filaments resembling whiskers, reaching beyond the tail fin; dorsal surface grey or dull green; belly and fins yellow or dark orange.
