กรมใหญ่กรมหนึ่งในจตุสดมภ์ มีเสนาบดีเป็นผู้บังคับบัญชา มีอำนาจหน้าที่รักษาพระราชมนเทียร พระราชวังชั้นนอก พระราชวังชั้นใน บริหารกิจการในพระราชสำนัก และบังคับบัญชาศาลในสังกัดซึ่งมีอำนาจพิจารณาคดีที่เกี่ยวข้องกับสมใน ได้แก่ ศาลแพ่งวัง ศาลอาชญาวัง และศาลนครบาลวัง รวมทั้งบังคับบัญชาศาลมรดก

One of the major departments in the Chatusadom system, headed by a minister, responsible for the royal palace, the outer and inner palaces, administration of royal household affairs, and supervision of courts under its jurisdiction with authority to adjudicate cases related to the palace, including the Royal Civil Court, Royal Criminal Court, and Royal Metropolitan Court, as well as the inheritance court.

เสนาบดีตำแหน่งตามทำเนียบเดิม คือ เจ้าพระยาธรรมาธิกรณ์หรือเจ้าพระยาธรรมาธิบดีฯ, ตราประจำตำแหน่ง คือ ตราเทพยดาขี่โคนนทิกร.

A ministerial position according to the traditional register, namely Chao Phraya Thammathikon or Chao Phraya Thammathibodi. The official seal of the position is the 'deity riding the bull Nandikorn' seal.
