เรียกต้นไม้ที่ทำขึ้นเนื่องในการทิ้งทานในงานเมรุหลวง และมีลูกมะนาวบรรจุเงินตราห้อยอยู่ตามกิ่งต่าง ๆ ของต้นไม้นั้น ว่า ต้นกัลปพฤกษ์, เรียกลูกมะนาวที่บรรจุเหรียญเงินนั้น ว่า ลูกกัลปพฤกษ์

[(Skt.; Pali kalpavṛkṣa).] Refers to an artificial tree made for the purpose of charity at royal cremation ceremonies, with limes containing money hanging from its branches, called 'kalpavriksha tree'; the lime containing coins is called 'kalpavriksha fruit'.
