Name of a ritual incantation used to prepare lustral water for sprinkling or pouring to ward off evil omens and misfortune; exists in two forms: the minor (thoranīsān nōi) and the major (thoranīsān yai).

เรียกคนที่มีลักษณะซึมเซาง่วงเหงาหาวนอนอยู่เสมอ ว่า คนต้องธรณีสาร.

Used of a person who is perpetually listless, drowsy, and sleepy: said to be 'afflicted by thoranīsān' (khon tong thoranīsān).
