A type of Thai vegetable curry-soup containing various vegetables such as ivy gourd (Coccinia grandis), luffa, bottle gourd, banana blossom, and pumpkin shoots, seasoned with shallots, white pepper, and shrimp paste pounded with dried shrimp or grilled fish; sometimes also includes fingerroot (Boesenbergia rotunda); flavoured with lemon basil leaves for aroma.
