ชื่อนกขนาดใหญ่หลายชนิด ในวงศ์ Ciconiidae ปากหนาแบนข้าง ยาว ปลายแหลมตรง คอและขายาว เวลาบินคอเหยียดตรง ทำรังด้วยกิ่งไม้อยู่บนยอดไม้สูง กินปลาและสัตว์น้ำขนาดเล็ก ในประเทศไทยมีหลายชนิด เช่น กระสาคอขาว [ Ciconia episcopus (Boddaert)] กระสาคอดำ [ Ephippiorhynchus asiaticus (Latham)].

(n.) Name for several large bird species in the family Ciconiidae, with thick, laterally flattened, long, straight, pointed beaks, long necks and legs; when flying, the neck is stretched straight; nests are made of twigs on tall trees; feeds on fish and small aquatic animals. In Thailand, includes species such as the Woolly-necked Stork [Ciconia episcopus (Boddaert)] and Black-necked Stork [Ephippiorhynchus asiaticus (Latham)].

ชื่อนกยางขนาดใหญ่ ในวงศ์ Ardeidae ปากยาว ปลายแหลม ฤดูผสมพันธุ์เพศผู้มีขนยาวบริเวณท้ายทอย ๒ เส้น คอยาว เวลาบินคอโค้งงอ ขายาว เล็บของนิ้วกลางที่หันไปข้างหน้าหยักคล้ายซี่หวี ทำรังด้วยกิ่งไม้บนยอดไม้สูงปานกลาง กินปลาและสัตว์น้ำ ในประเทศไทยมี ๓ ชนิด คือ กระสานวล ( Ardea cinerea Linn.) กระสาแดง ( A. purpurea Linn.) และกระสาใหญ่ ( A. sumatrana Raffles).

ชื่อไม้ต้นขนาดกลางชนิด Broussonetia papyrifera (L.) Vent. ในวงศ์ Moraceae ชอบขึ้นในที่ชื้นแฉะ ตามริมแม่นํ้าลำคลอง ใบใหญ่เท่าฝ่ามือหรือกว่านั้นบ้าง รูปไข่ปลายแหลม ขอบใบเป็นจัก ๆ หรือเว้าเป็น ๓ แฉก มีขนทั้ง ๒ ด้าน เปลือกใช้ทำกระดาษได้ เรียก กระดาษสา, พายัพเรียก สา.

(n.) Name of a medium-sized tree species, Broussonetia papyrifera (L.) Vent. in the family Moraceae, prefers moist areas along rivers and canals; leaves are large, ovate, with toothed or three-lobed margins, hairy on both sides; bark is used for making paper, called 'sa paper'; in Northern Thailand called 'sa'.
