ชื่อนกเงือกชนิด Anthracoceros albirostris (Shaw) ในวงศ์ Bucerotidae เป็นนกเงือกขนาดเล็กที่สุดของไทย ปากและโหนกแข็งสีงาช้างคาดดำ ลำตัวสีดำ ท้องสีขาว ปีกสีดำขอบปีกสีขาว หางสีดำปลายหางด้านล่างสีขาว กินผลไม้และสัตว์ขนาดเล็ก, แกง ก็เรียก.

(n.) The name of a hornbill species, Anthracoceros albirostris (Shaw), family Bucerotidae. It is the smallest hornbill in Thailand, with an ivory-colored beak and casque marked with black, black body, white belly, black wings with white edges, black tail with white underside at the tip. Eats fruit and small animals. Also called 'kaeng'.
