ไกฺร

ชื่อไม้ต้นขนาดใหญ่ในสกุล Ficus วงศ์ Moraceae ลักษณะคล้ายต้นไทร มี ๒ ชนิด คือ ชนิด F. concinna (Miq.) Miq. เปลือกสีเทาค่อนข้างเรียบ ใบเล็ก ช่อดอกรูปคล้ายผล ออกเป็นคู่ตามง่ามใบ ผลสีชมพู มีกระสีจาง ๆ, ไฮฮี ก็เรียก และชนิด F. superba (Miq.) Miq. เปลือกสีเทาเรียบ ใบใหญ่ ช่อดอกคล้ายชนิดแรก ผลสีชมพู, ไทรเลียบ ก็เรียก.

(n.) Name of a large tree in the genus Ficus, family Moraceae, similar to the banyan tree. There are two species: F. concinna (Miq.) Miq., with grayish, fairly smooth bark, small leaves, inflorescences resembling fruit, paired at leaf axils, pink fruit with pale spots, also called ไฮฮี; and F. superba (Miq.) Miq., with smooth gray bark, large leaves, similar inflorescences, pink fruit, also called ไทรเลียบ.
