An architectural element of a traditional Thai house: a flat rectangular wooden bracket inserted into a slot just below the top of a house post, with its projecting end supporting the rafter-plate (เชิงกลอน). When placed along side posts, called เต้าราย; when placed at a corner post with at least two brackets projecting outward, called เต้ารุม.
