Objects made of brass are also called ทอง. By extension, golden-yellow in color (e.g., golden skin, golden hair, golden light). Also used as a color-based component in specific names, e.g., ขนมทอง (a round sweet topped with sugar syrup) and ปลาทอง (goldfish, yellow or orange-red in color).
